What is the Conference?

The conference is the annual meeting of the SWE members of Region H. Region H is the largest region and consists of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota and South Dakota. The Region H conference supports diversity in engineering, provides networking opportunities, as well as personal, professional, and SWE development. The theme for this conference is “Set Sail with SWE”

When is the Conference?

The Conference is on February 17th- February 19th 2012.

Where is the Conference?

The 2012 Conference will be held in Madison Wisconsin. We will be utilizing the conference facilities in the Concourse Hotel which is located at 1 West Dayton Street, Madison WI 53703 (608) 257-6000. For more information, please refer to the hotel page.

Who attends the Conference?

Roughly 700 people attend the conference each year. These people include Region H Leadership, Professional and Collegiate Sections from Region H, and finally the corporate sponsors who support the conference. There are usually about 450 collegiate attendees and the remainder are professional SWE members and corporate representatives.

What’s Region H?

Region H includes Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. It’s the largest region of SWE with about 2,800 members, 45 university sections, and 13 professional sections. Most of the Big 10 (aside Penn State, Ohio State and Nebraska) is part of our Region.
