New Member Committee
Activities
Whether it’s trivia night or an ice cream social, the New Member Committee aims to create a welcoming environment within SWE and provide the opportunity for members to socialize through monthly events throughout the semester! Examples of New Member Committee events are going to the Chazen Art Musuem, Speed Friending, and the Engineering Expo!
Officer
My name is Megan Mulrooney and I am a New Member Committee Co-Officer. I love planning fun events that give SWE members a break from studying and an opportunity to build community. Whether we are painting, making flower bouquets, or gathering around a camp fire, New Member Committee would love to welcome you. If you are interested in becoming involved in SWE, please reach out to me at mrmulrooney@wisc.edu.
Professional Development
Activities
Diversity is the key to further enriching society. In SWE, we work to nurture a safe community for underrepresented individuals to build their confidence and professional skills. Professional development events like Evening With Industry (EWI), presentations from company representatives, and career fair preparation nights will all aide you in your career search.
